Under African Skies!

Firts off , I slept like crap last night. And oh did my day start out just great. On me way to work a guy almost runs me off the road trying to pass another vehicle. I finally reach the office, just to find some donner decided he needs to be parked on two parkings bays this morning. Well up and until then i could handle. But getting into the office, i find someone was in here over the weekend, did only the Lord knows what. And left my office in a mess, well it is in a mess most of the time, but atleast i know what is going on in my “organised” mess. Now that just pissed me off. So i decide to just get some coffee, only not to be able to find my mug.

And whilest i am typing this piece of rambling, my screen card drivers decides to stop functioning. What a day. I think i should go home…

ain’t i just a great guy. the one day in the year i overslept, was today… giving me no time to give the missus something. Luckily i already made arangements for something small to be dropped off at the office

It has been awhile since my last entry…
been keeping my self busy with work I bought a new Pc mag 2days ago with the full Impi linux distribution on it, so that will keep my occupied this weekend and next week. trying it out

Been reading reading up on bandwidth throttling aswell with squidproxy, want to make sure i get it running and don’t break anything when attempting to activate it. And lastly been having frequent disccusion with various car dealers. Want to buy a new car/bakkie, but itn is a bitch getting a decent price on my car But at last i got what i want and hopefully i will be driving another car soon. But iI am pretty sure i got to the source of my car’s current problem last night when cleaning it. The vacuum advange, air pipe was parished. So it didn’t want to idle properly and kept dying when I stop. I didn’t have any probs this morning when driving to work

And that is what has kwept me busy over the last 2 weeks …

When one has re-occuring problems,

1. Is it a sign to break off and get going?

had myself a long w/e, after leaving work on friday at about 9am.
well it wasn’t that much fun either, being ill. woke up on friday and i wasn’t feeling too well.
but by saterday afternoon, i was feeling a might better. don’t know what it was, might have been another bug doing its rounds…

today it is back to normal, with a whiteboard loaded with TO DO’s

Last night when i was talking to my neighbour,

she mentioned it was time for her to get into a relationship again, tired of wandering around alone all the time. and one of her colleagues said that if she had a b/f at the moment she would be at home watching tv, cooking or getting shit from the b/f lol. now that is life

and i can’t wait for 4:30pm then i am off for the rest of the weekend and going to the farm…peace and quiet, awaits me

my boss just brought his mutt into the office again, i swear that dog has the biggest ears i have ever seen, mind u , i wonder what kinda dog she is ?!
btw i just found out it is a Bavarian Mountain Hound

i got Fedora Core 3 installed over the weekend at home. i must admint i really like it running with Gnome and so on. the only experience i have had with FC is at work, FC2 , and just on CL. so it was nice to have alook at it via the Gnome
i only have one issue with it, and that is that my processor seems to peak to much, for my likming anyway. did i mention it is a 450 mhz with 230MB RAM
anyway it is running that is all that counts.

just need to get yum to read the install DVD then i am all set to play

last night i went out to get buy some bread. after going to the shop, i thought i’d go for a drive around town. whilst driving around, i met up with an old friend we chatted adn decided to go get something wet.

so we end up at a local pub after driving past 4 or 5 pubs, checking out which wasn’t too busy… so we spent a couple of hours talking. when we finally decided to leave, i looked for my car keys. they were not in me pocket, which is usally where i leave them we searched around the desk a might, went back to the fireplace where we later moved to. and nothing.

At the managers desk no lost keys were given in. so we decided to drive to my place , fecth my spare keys and them come back and get my car.
when i got to my car, offcourse i must mention that my driver side window is non-existent :), i found my keys still in the ignition.
i guess my car is just too damn UGLY to steal. i mean no window, with the keys still in the ignition, or perhaps just nobody walked past my car

so the weekend was a lot of fun. i only realised how much, when i canme to work this morning. picking up my backpack, i noticed it was rather heavy, remembering that i packed a lot of paper work to be done over the weekend.
well as you might gather, none of it was done.

the weekend was all play and no work

i swear my car (Uno 1100) is jinxed or something….
with the amount of crap i’ve had with it over the past 6 months, there is no other explanation, it just have to be !!!
