Hyper Threading & Siemens USB Data Kit
June 5th, 2006It is said that the Siemens USB Data Kit drivers is not fully funtional with any HT processor/mobo. Got that tested.
Hardware:
Asus P5P800 SE M/B
Intel Prescott 3.00 Processor
512 mb ddr2 memory
The machine worked fine at the office, while connected to the net via ethernet. Take it home plug in the USB for ISDN. And whala! PC keeps rebooting after a couple of minutes on the net. Later got news from a friend about the HT/USB ISDN incompatibility. Disabled HT on the mobo, and the PC runs fine afterwords.
Siemens say on the website, that their newer drivers support HT. But that will be tested later on.
