the weekend to the farm is all that was needed. i now feel refreshed completely. it has been w a while since i have been able to get out of town. the city can drive one crazy heh ?
but now i am ready for work and all the other things that come with it.

i have been struggling to get sendmail installed properly on my system. i run Fedora Core 3
i want/ed sendmail to get my mail from fetchmail and deliver to me. which worked well. but then i wanted sendmail to forward all outbound mail from me to my mailserver which also runs sendmail, but that i just couldn’t get working. so in the end, it is back to postfix
i just removed sendmail, installed postfix and i got my mail as usual using mutt, for the time being, until i can get exmh installed. now i just have to go back into my mail archive to check how i setup postfix last time to forward all mail to my mailserver. hopefully i will be able to get this done with less hassle than i’ve had with sendmail. if anyone does have any suggestions on how to get exmh onto FC3 then please let me know…since i can’t find a ready built rpm for it.

our local linux website, which was newly created recently uses the b2evolution blogging engine. and i only got the link for the site on tuesday, so when i looked at the site, it was good. until i scrolled down and reached the referrals section. where somehow , the spammers got all the p0rn and drug addies in.
i went to the b2evolution forums to check for any ideas on what could be done to prevent this.
well they have plenty of ideas, but none that seemed to stop the crap properly. my suggestion was remove the pages completely. i honestly don’t see the need for the referrals section.
or do like moi, and get Wordpress it has been working quite well for me over the last year or so 
Last night when i was talking to my neighbour,
she mentioned it was time for her to get into a relationship again, tired of wandering around alone all the time. and one of her colleagues said that if she had a b/f at the moment she would be at home watching tv, cooking or getting shit from the b/f lol. now that is life
and i can’t wait for 4:30pm then i am off for the rest of the weekend and going to the farm…peace and quiet, awaits me 
my boss just brought his mutt into the office again, i swear that dog has the biggest ears i have ever seen, mind u , i wonder what kinda dog she is ?!

well i tried a disto upgrade at the office from Ubuntu Warty to Fedora Core 3. and i must say that FC with Gnome looks very nice. Not that i am saying Warty isn’t “nice”, it is. that is why i still use it at home
though here at the office i was running warty with icewm, since my pc was, well pretty ancient. i know have 100mhz more and 192mb ram more, still OLD but able to run FC3 with Gnome on my 450mhz with 320 mb ram…
i just had to scratch me head a might to get FC to get onto the network with dhcp, but after 30 min or so it is running very well…not i just need to copy all me data from warty.
wow what a great tool. i discovered this tool sumwhere last year or before that…
it worked on w2k, it was great. but it didn’t work on winXP
two days ago i got a machine with XP on it. knowing that it doens’t work i never even thought of trying it. so i just downloaded the newer version of the tool. but to my suprise it didn’t work either. there were no other tools(tested) to be found. it kept giving errors mounting the filesystem.which is actually FAT32 since it was upgraded from win95 to win98 and then later to XP.
and i couldn’t get it to mount the filesystem as FAT32
today i took the old version out, that i have had for sumtime and tried loading the filesystem. it worked, it loaded the FAT32 filesystem and i was able to reset the admin password.

it is that time of the year again when one walks down the street at a 60 degree angle, trying to make it down the street against the winds
when i woke up this morning the wind was howling around my flat and into my WINDOW…dan cold. but at least it is bringing in some moisture. i could see the low lying clouds this morning hanging around the mountains that surround the city. was pretty good sight. just a pitty i didn’t have me camera with me.
i wish i could be at home, reading a good book.
